The weather remains a bit unsettled at times, but generally will be much quieter as the week progresses!

Areas of rain and snow persist on the Island this morning, mainly west, while snow is flying in the Big Land. The weather improves today, but slowly.

Monday started on the windier side across Newfoundland and Labrador, with the strongest gusts found in the southwest. Places like St. Andrews peaked close to 140 km/h as a deep area of low pressure sat over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Environment Canada has issued multiple weather alerts for Newfoundland, as a strong low-pressure system will start to spread its weather impacts into the region late Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

Rain and snow continue to fall across NL this morning from a single low-pressure system. Another low moves in later today and brings a fresh round of the same… with some wind.
