Wednesday Morning’s Weather Briefing — April 29, 2026

Good Wednesday morning!

Here are today’s weather highlights:

  • High pressure will once again be the big player in the weather across NL today!

  • Temperatures this morning range from the single digits below freezing on the Island to single digits above in most of the Big Land.

  • Some fog patches are being spotted on webcams in parts of southern and southeastern Newfoundland this morning.

  • Highs reach the single digits to middle and upper teens across NL today under lots of sunshine!

This morning’s update is sponsored by Roebothan, McKay, Marshall.

The forecast for today is about as easy as it gets. Expext sunshine and highs across the board between the single digits and middle to upper teens. The warmest readings will be found in central Newfoundland and then in central and western Labrador. Some spots will certainly flirt with 20ºC today.

The weather pattern we are in is due to a high pressure centre is a good position to bring the sun and mild temperatures. This will remain in place for the next few days. There are some signals of a little change for the weekend, but at this time, the weather looks to remain generally quiet for the next few days. I’ll take it!

The weather pattern for the next few days keeps the sunshine in and mild temperatures a’plenty!

I’ll have a full forecast posted later today!
