Wednesday morning weather brief — September 3, 2025

Good Wednesday morning!

The day has come for the kiddos to head back to school, and for much of the Province, the day is off to a great start. According to the road cameras, most areas are dry this morning and there is very little fog in the south. In fact, the only fog I spotted this. Morning was on the Bay d’Espoir Highway, Cameara.

This morning’s forecast is brought to you by Roebothan, Mckay and Marshall.

Temperatures are a bit cool in some areas to start the day, we are looking at lower teens and single digits across the Province at this hour.

Readings for parts of Labrador and much of the Island will creep into the upper teens and 20s again today. Areas of the middle and north coast of Labrador will remain in the upper single digits and lower teens today, north of a stationary front.

Weather-wise we are looking at a day of sunshine through much of NL. The exception will be northern Labrador where clouds and areas of rain will be persistent. The showers will start to sink a bit farther south into the Big Land later this afternoon as the boundary seperating the cold air from the warm begins to drift in that direction. Future satellite and radar paints that picture very well.

Those showers in Labrador will become a little more widespread overnight and on Thursday, and temperatures will cool off as well as the cold front continues its journey to the south. I will have a more detailed update on this later today in my full forecast.
