Records Watch

St. John’s is chasing the 2012 record of 76 days at/over 20 °C. We could tie or beat that by week’s end.

Tropics

There’s a 70% chance of tropical development in the next 7 days — we’ll keep a close eye.

And if you’re wondering why I’m wearing a hoodie here at Igloo Lake Lodge — it’s not the chill, it’s the mosquitoes!

Tomorrow morning’s update will come from Igloo Lake Lodge, with another tomorrow evening from Happy Valley–Goose Bay as I head out flying with Jim across Labrador.
