Wednesday Morning Weather Brief — October 29, 2025
Good Wednesday morning! Here are today’s weather highlights:
Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica yesterday and will move over Cuba and the Bahamas today. Widespread damage and flooding have been reported, and I’ll have more updates later.
Sunshine returns to NL today after a chilly morning. Highs Island-wide will be in the upper single digits to lower teens.
Thursday looks similar.
Halloween will start dry, but a weather-maker coming in from the west will bring rain (Newfoundland) and snow (Labrador) to the Province starting later in the day or evening. What’s left of Melissa may also affect the guidance, as it shows a westward trend.
I’ll have my next update later today.
This morning’s update is sponsored by Roebothan, McKay, Marshall.
