Tuesday Morning Weather Brief — September 2, 2025

Good Tuesday morning!

The forecast from the Space Weather Prediction Centre delivered in a big way last night! A geomagnetic storm brought a wonderful display of the Northern Lights to much of the Province late Monday night into Tuesday morning. I will put together a gallery of all the photos of the Aurora Borealis later today.

Weather-wise today, we are looking at sunshine across much of NL and unseasonably warm temperatures. Readings on the Island will climb into the lower to mid 20s for most areas, with some parts of the interior and central reaching the upper 20s.

This morning’s forecast is sponsored by Roebothan, McKay and Marshall.

Labrador will also see a very warm day, with highs in some areas, like Goose Bay, reaching the upper 20s this afternoon. There will be cooler air in the north, accompanied by showers. That cooler air will play a bigger role in Labrador’s forecast tomorrow and Thursday.

The weather on the Island remains quiet for the next few days, while Labrador will see an uptick in activity. I’ll have a more detailed forecast for you this evening.

Have a great day

Eddie
