Good Thursday Morning! Here are today’s highlights
It’s not as cold across the Province this morning as it was over the last few days!
Sunshine returns today, along with temperatures in the mid-teens to low 20s.
There will be some very isolated showers in northern Labrador this afternoon, along with a few passing clouds.
Overall, it’s another quiet and sunny day across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Good morning! It’s not as cold across the Province this morning as it was yesterday morning. As of just before 5:30 AM, temperatures were in the single digits and teens, with one exception: Badger, where the temperature was 1º for a brief time around 4:30 AM.
The chart above shows the difference in the observed temperature early this morning at both the Badger and private weather stations in Grand Falls-Windsor. Note the differences around 4 AM! It has warmed up since then, and the temperatures below are the most current readings, as these images will update throughout the day. The forecast today looks great across the Province! Expect sunshine and tempreatures climbinb into the middle teens to lower 20s across the board. Overall it will be a lovely late September day across the region. There may be some very isolated late day showers in northern parts of Labrador. The map below gives you an idea of what the temperatures will be like in whatever areas of Newfoudnland and Labradodr you’re in.
WATCHING A NOR’EASTER SOUTH OF NL THIS WEEKEND
A potent nor’easter will take shape near the northeastern United States later this week and linger in the area through the weekend before lifting northeast early next week. Indications continue to be that this low will not impact NL’s weather until the early part of next week, at which point it would be a much weaker version of what it will be over the next few days, and move quickly through the area. There are some forecast discrepancies, however, for the Maritime Provinces, as there may be rain/wind there over the weekend depending on the low’s position. I’ll watch it closely and will have an update on this for you later today.
