Thursday Morning’s Weather Briefing — August 13, 2026
Good Thursday Morning!
Quite a start to the day, with most areas seeing sun and cloud. The exception is southeast Labrador and the Northern Peninsula, where showers are ongoing. They’ll end soon. See it for yourself!
Sun and cloud today will be the rule, with highs in the teens and 20s.
Be on the lookout for afternoon showers and thunderstorms over interior, central, and northeast Newfoundland and throughout much of Labrador.

It’s a pretty simple forecast today…
Most of the Province is enjoying a lovely start to the day, with the exception of the Northern Peninsula and parts of Labrador, where rain showers are ongoing. Those will end within the next couple of hours.
Across NL today, we will see a mix of sun and cloud, with highs in the upper teens to mid-20s. There will be some afternoon showers and thunderstorms in Labrador and over interior, central, and northeastern Newfoundland. I'll be tracking them closely for you.
My next update will be posted later today!
