Tonight

It’s a cool, soggy Thursday for much of Newfoundland and Labrador. Temperatures tonight will fall into the single digits across Labrador and hover in the teens for most of Newfoundland. Rain will continue for many areas, especially across western parts of the Island, while it eases off somewhat in the east.

Friday

Friday brings widespread showers and breezy conditions across Newfoundland. Winds in eastern and northeastern parts of the Island could gust up to 50 km/h, with even higher gusts possible along exposed coasts. Meanwhile, Labrador improves—expect a fair bit of sunshine, especially in western areas.

Weekend Outlook

  • Saturday: Mostly dry across Newfoundland, setting up a pleasant day.

  • Sunday: Rain looks to return, especially for southern and western Newfoundland, though coverage may be more widespread than current forecasts suggest.

  • Labrador: The reverse setup—rain on Saturday, improving conditions on Sunday.

Rainfall Totals

  • Newfoundland: Generally 5–10 mm for most areas.

  • Labrador: 20–30 mm likely from Goose Bay down to the Straits, with lesser amounts farther north and west.
