Friday Morning’s Weather Briefing — March 6, 2026

Good Friday Morning!

Here are today’s weather highlights:

  • It’s cold out this morning, with temperatures into the minus teens and -20s across most of NL.

  • An area of high pressure builds today and will bring a near-cloudless day to the Province.

  • Temperatures will not be as cold as on Thursday, with highs reaching the minus single digits for highs over most of the Island and -10s and -20s across the Big Land.

  • Clear skies and light winds over the Island tonight will lead to temperatures falling into the minus teens to near -20ºC. The cooler readings will be found over low-lying interior areas of central and interior Newfoundland.

  • Snow returns to Labrador Saturday and that will be the beginning of a pattern change that will bring a warm up to the Island starting Sunday…
