Friday Morning’s Weather Briefing — February 27, 2026
Good Friday Morning!
Here are today’s weather highlights:
Light rain has arrived on the Avalon Peninsula ahead of a cold front and will stick with us into the early afternoon. Skies will clear from west to east as it ends as the front moves east.
In a shocking turn of events, outside of scattered flurries, much of NL will be sunny and cloudy today.
Temperatures will be in the single digits below freezing over much of the Island and in the teens below zero in Labrador.
An inbound low will bring snow to Labrador on Saturday, beginning in the west in the afternoon.
Eastern Newfoundland has a chance of more rain and snow on Sunday, while western areas will see snow by late in the day.
The next chance of significant snow (at the moment) appears to be this coming Wednesday.
This video shows what we can expect across NL for today — February 27, 2026.
